my 5 favorite interior design books

my 5 favorite interior design books

One collection I've been building out over the past few years is interior design books. While I love Pinterest as much as one could, there's nothing quite like flipping through the pages of a book. I also love supporting authors and designers directly and really appreciate how much work/time/money goes into these books!

Whether it be for inspiration or design tips, these are a few of my favorite books to flip through when I need a screen break.

1. Habitat by Lauren Liess

I love that this one reads like a field guide to design. So clever, and her style is effortless. Looking forward to her HGTV series!

2. The Finer Things by Christiane Lemieux

You CAN judge a book by it's gilded cover. As beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, this collection of elegant and elevated interiors focuses on luxe details that make a space truly unique.

3. Get it Together by Orlando Soria

I read this book (like many others) from cover to cover! Orlando has a hilarious and NEVER serious outlook and voice, which is so refreshing to read as you also browse through his fabulous interiors.

4. Styled by Emily Henderson

I bought this at first for the included style quiz a few years ago! And keep going back for styling inspiration for shelves, cozy corners, and surfaces.

5. Botanical Style by Selina Lake

This book is simply beautiful- I love incorporating greenery (faux and real) into my designs, and flipping through pages of botanical inspo is lovely!

These are just a few of my favorites! Linked below is a full assortment of other design books I own/would recommend!
