These were a few of my favorite inspiration photos, all found while browsing Pinterest by these fabulous designers (from left to right): Alexandra Evjen Nursery as seen on Project Nursery; Chet Interiors Nursery; Table and Hearth Calm & Coastal Nursery; Project Nursery Dainty, Soft, and Sweet Nursery - I mean those frames are to die for!; Amanda Judgeny Gender Neutral Nursery; Farewell & Nest Parisian Nursery
We recently announced we were pregnant (eek!) with twins <insert nervous smile>, so I obviously started looking for inspiration for the nursery right away. There are so many cute nurseries on Pinterest, so we had to start a separate board just to accommodate all of these fun ideas!
After a lot of fun scoping, there were a few things that I settled on wanting:
- an accent wall: I just love the look of an accent wall behind the crib, whether it be through color or texture (all the above inspiration photos have some degree of this!)
- some kind of subtle animal "theme": we have two pups & are generally animal lovers, so these cute little decorations were perfect for a nursery:
I'm also considering pulling in some animals through the "details", like this Z Gallerie White Deer Head (or on of their animal options), this Wayfair "I Like Big Mutts" Pillow, this Anthropologie Ceramic Elephant Knob, or just through some cute sheets (I'm digging the hedgehog prints, hehe)
3. poufs - because no nursery is complete without one! Or maybe it's just that I just absolutely love them.. These were a few of my favorites:
4. storage: so many of these rooms had storage that also doubled as decor, which I love. I know we'll need everything at our finger tips, so these are a few of the pieces I'm considering:
I absolutely love this hamper idea - this will definitely be happening! The shelf with the bar to hang their little jackets is just so darling & perfect for those with limited or no closet space. The baskets are a great idea for toys & books! I'll definitely be shopping around home goods for some of these.
After all of this combing through inspirational photos, it's time to pull together a mood board! So stay tuned!
