trend spotlight : fish scale tiles
I'm really digging the fish scale tile trend right now. While I will always love the classic subway tile & stacked stone in kitchens and bathrooms, fish scale adds a fun, visually appealing pattern without being too busy.
Here are a few of my favorite applications:
Home Polish absolutely nailed this bathroom floor with these fish scale tiles. I mean, really, I'm drooling over the entire bathroom & its hollywood glam style.
Mercury Mosaics (who sells these tiles in small, medium, & large!) used them as an accent wall for this bathroom. The entire bathroom feels bigger than it probably realistically is, simply from the white wainscoting & tiled wall. Beautifully classic.
First of all, not only do I love how these work as a backsplash in the kitchen, but I love how these are flipped upside down versus what I typically see. Photo by desire to inspire.
This headboard featured on Architectural Digest is such a statement for this room. I'll take one please!
I'm loving this color with the slight shimmer that really does mimic fish scales. It reflects the natural light making the room feel larger than it is. Photo cred by decor pad.
And for those that love the beachy feel without looking too obviously beachy, this backsplash color by urban grace interiors is perfect. Featured on house beautiful.
So since my husband would probably be a little upset if I ripped out our current tile for the fish scale tile, I'll settle for the pattern on a toss pillow on my couch.
