winter book club: magnolia story
One of the best shows on TV right now (in our humble opinions) is the HGTV show Fixer Upper. We love following Chip and Joanna as they help families in Waco, Texas, take a old home in need of love and modernization, and create a brand new home that fits their needs without sacrificing beauty and design. We have to say, we love how Joanna incorporates her brand’s unique look of modern farmhouse decor with antique finds and refurbished items.
On top of their successful show, they are building a true empire of their Magnolia brand with a brick-and-morter market, a bed and breakfast, rug and paint collections, and last October, the launch of their book, The Magnolia Story. At the heart of it, they seem to be a genuinely happy and grounded family, and this book gives fans a peek into their lives and their story. Per the excerpt, it’s really “a story about love, adventure, and dreaming big”.
This book was at the top of my Christmas wish list, and now that the year is kicked off, I'm excited to start getting back into reading, starting with this. Join us in following along their journey, in their words. We cannot wait to read it and discuss!
